Then Seppeltsfield Rd Distillers may be the place you’re looking for!

As a leader of our team, your role will have a focus on the customer service experience in the tasting room. Forging a path through the mundane and the frantic trade of the day today, we need a guiding light to navigate our team through weekend trade, to actively engage in the training of tasting room staff and to be a keen enthusiast of gin, Barossa, and South Australia.

We envisage the ideal applicant to have high level restaurant and hospitality experience, to be able to innately understand the expectations that come with this and see the unseen. With a focus on premium customer experiences, the ability to communicate our story genuinely and passionately and ensure the Tasting Room is presented immaculately and provide constructive input into the development of the Seppeltsfield Rd Distillers brand and offerings.

To be considered for this role you will need….

  • Passion for gin…and dogs
  • A warm, genuine, authentic, passionate & personalised customer service approach.
  • Bar and cocktail experience through all the peaks and troughs of service, COVID and seasons.
  • Passion for Barossa provenance and sense of place within SA and communicating that when representing both home and away.
  • Ability to self-motivate, work autonomously or in a team environment.
  • To understand, train and implement safe food handling practices.
  • Experience with booking and POS systems, particularly with Now Book It and Kounta.
  • Microsoft suite and email experience – with impeccable written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and presentation for yourself and our brand.
  • Experience in supervising and leading a close team through the highs and lows of service.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload and importance of tasks.
  • A desire to continuously improve personally and professionally.
  • Responsible Persons Badge, RSA with SITHFAB002 accreditation.
  • Understanding of venue COVID Marshal responsibilities
  • Hold a current Class C South Australian vehicle licence.
  • Understanding of and willingness to follow and encourage others to follow OH&S procedures.

    It would be amazing if you also have…

  • High-end customer service experience with a minimum of 12 months leading a team in hospitality (restaurant/cellar door/ bar).
  • Reside in or near Barossa Valley
  • Desire to learn and create.
  • Current first-aid certificate or commitment to obtaining one.
  • Basic understanding of liquor licensing and requirements.
