Who are we

Club Central operates two of the top performing Clubs in the State located at Hurstville and Menai. Our Hurstville premises; already a bustling entertainment venue is currently undergoing a major redevelopment which will see a 125 room hotel built 600 seat convention/function centre, new dining and lounge areas, roof top bar, restaurants. Now is the time to jump on board!

 The Role We are looking for an experienced Supervisor ready to take the next step in their career. This truly is a great opportunity for someone looking for a career in Hospitality Management! As a Shift Supervisor you will assist in the management of operational areas across the entire club including Gaming, Cash Control, Concierge/Reception and Beverage. This position feeds directly into the Duty Manager roles at the Club and will also fill the position of Relief Duty Manager. The main duties of the role include:
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to the operational teams to ensure the highest levels of customer service is being delivered
  • Coordinate rosters, delegate tasks and breaks
  • Provide feedback to staff on their performance and manage performance concerns
  • Support training, onboarding and coaching of new starters and existing staff
  • Lead a 'Safety first' culture by following all policy, procedures and reporting to ensure compliance at all times
  • Monitor and respond to service levels - received goods, response times, service quality, food production – and assist where appropriate
  • Trouble shoot, problem solve and implement solutions to ensure a positive customer experience and outcomes
  • Conflict Resolution and management of complex operational issues
  • High level knowledge & experience of Club operations and guiding legislation - support and training provided
To succeed in this role you will have:
  • A 'Çan Do' attitude that thrives in a fast paced and diverse environment
  • At least 12 months experience managing a team preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Confidence to work independently and think on your feet to resolve issues and manage challenging situations
  • Exceptional communication skills with internal and external customers and be able to demonstrate the ability to have challenging conversations to ensure a positive outcome
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in coaching and motivating a team of employees
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on targets and KPIs, both personal and for your team
  • Exceptional grooming and presentation skills
  • Possess a high degree of discretion, integrity and confidentiality
  • Flexibility and availability to work across the operating hours of the Club and be able to work a rotating shift roster year round.
  • Possess an RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) & RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gaming) competency card or willing to obtain

Club Trading Hours at Hurstville are: Sunday to Thursday 10am to 4am and Friday and Saturday 10am to 6am.
