Baulkham Hills Sports Club is one of six clubs owned and operated by Bankstown Sports Club Group. This re-developed community club is considered by many to be the latest hidden jewel nestled in the beautiful leafy hills area. The Club offers exciting dining and entertainment facilities, professional function and meeting rooms, as well as a state-of-the-art TAB. It hosts weekly activities like bingo and poker, special events and a delicious menu in The Gallery Restaurant.

Baulkham Hills Sports is currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is ready to take on a new challenge as Relief Team Leader. Reporting to the venue manager, the successful applicant will be primarily responsible for supervising daily operations across the bar and gaming areas.

This role is suitable for someone passionate about developing their career in hospitality and looking for a leadership role within the hospitality industry. This role will also focus on delivering excellent customer service, employee training and development, performance management, sales and profitability and effective cost controls. The successful candidate will therefore need to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, along with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrated & ongoing commitment to our Culture Values; 'Can do' attitude, Team player and Suprise and Delight. 
  • Supervising staff, ensuring their delivery of exceptional customer service, at all times 
  • Training and coaching staff, with performance feedback
  • Overseeing daily operations across the venue, including reporting and escalating incidences, where appropriate
  • RSA Management
  • Conflict resolution and performance management of employees
  • Creating a work environment which promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
  • Ensuring a safe working environment

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience or potential, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and supervise a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • RSA & RCG competency cards
  • A flexible approach to a varied roster; across days, nights and weekends
  • Immaculate personal presentation and grooming
