The role

Come and join the team at Racecourse Grange where we are leading the industry in driving our award winning 'Better Together' model, raising the quality of living in aged care. We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join the friendly team in Mornington on a casual basis. As the Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for the upkeep and general maintenance of the residential living and shared spaces of Racecourse Grange Aged Care, working in accordance with health and safety guidelines and providing a support service that enhances our customer's wellbeing in their home.

What you will be doing

Providing a range of general maintenance and building maintenance duties
Developing and implementing a preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance program
Delivering a high level of service to residents, visitors, contractors and staff
Maintenance of the shared spaces, ensuring a high standard of presentation
Working within health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff, reporting hazards where appropriate

About you

Previous maintenance experience. Trade background/qualifications preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of OHS requirements with a strong resident and safety focus
Previous experience in a Retirement Community, Aged Care, or hotel environment advantageous
A service, solution and preventative approach with strong customer service skills
Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft suite and asset management/ordering systems
Availability to work on a casual basis, up to 3 days per week.
