Food Services Assistant

Health & Allied Services, Food & Domestic Assistant $23.70263 per hour plus 25% casual loading

A vacancy exists within our Food Services team for a casual Food Services Assistant located at Andrews House, our Aged Care Facility in Trafalgar. This position will undertake a range of routine food tasks such as plating meals, serving meals, washing dishes, basic food preparation tasks.

This role involves working a variety of shifts that may include weekends. As a casual employee there is no guarantee of regular work.

Our Preferred Candidate Will Have

  • Current Certificate – Safe Food Handlers Certificate – HLTTFS7A or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous food services experience particularly within a Residential Aged Care setting
  • Commitment to providing a customer focused service
  • Ability to read and understand work procedures, patient diet lists, menus and safety instructions

The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is a customer focused health organisation providing acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, residential care and community health services to 45,000 people in the rural, urban residential, agricultural and industrial areas located within the Baw Baw Shire and beyond. The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.
