The Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic applicant for the role of Purchasing Officer. This role is a hands on role with responsibility for all stock and purchasing activities throughout the resort. With a strong operational focus, you will co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers, heads of department and the Adelaide Support Office.

You will work closely with the G’Day Group Accounts team and Resort General Manager to ensure a smooth and controlled procurement process, and provide visibility for the business in terms of costs of inventory, consumables and services. For the right candidate there is the ability to progress in the role.

What We Are Looking For

  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong eye for detail and speed of data entry
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • An enthusiastic and energetic approach
  • A solid understanding of business processes
  • High proficiency in MS Excel (or willingness to learn)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Business or another related discipline
  • Previous purchasing experience of at least 2 years in a Resort; Hotel; Cruise Ship or similar
  • Exposure to Newbook and/or H&L highly regarded

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at El Questro for the duration of the season. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time.
