Front of House Manager

Rollers Bakehouse is looking for a passionate and experienced Bakehouse Manager to join the team full time. This is a first time opening for the manager position since Rollers opened 3 years ago and we are looking for someone to grow and expand with the business. 

This role is split across the front of house and barista team and will be responsible for over seeing the entire operations of Rollers. We are looking for someone who is proud of their work, thoroughly organised and strives to provide the training and tools to develop their own skills and the team.

Responsibilities will include…

⁃Leading the barista, front of house and bakery team in day-to-day operations

⁃Training and managing the team on a consistent basis

⁃Recruiting and training new members and building a strong team 

⁃Assisting and leading the team with ordering and cost control of food, beverage and labour

⁃Experience as a barista, experience in coffee and cupping

⁃Experience working and managing the front of house team and operations

⁃Fostering a good relationship with key suppliers and regular customers

⁃Representing Rollers Bakehouse with a positive outlook and open-minded approach to work

-Rostering, payroll and regular team meetings with all staff 

-Implementing and maintaining systems and processes for both front of house and the bakery

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

  • Demonstrated experience as a manager
  • Immediate start
  • Coffee and barista experience
  • Demonstrated experience in high volume, fast-paced workplace
  • Resilient and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
  • Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
  • Passionate about hospitality, pastry and coffee
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards
  • Able and willing to work rotating roster that includes weekends and public holiday
  • Punctual and reliable

At least 2 years prior experience in a similar role is highly recommended as well as experience as a barista.
