JOB DESCRIPTION

Bells at Killcare is a privately owned, 25-room boutique retreat located in a contemporary coastal setting surrounded by beautiful beaches and Bouddi National Park. The property is one and a half hours north of Sydney and now boasts vibrant restaurant, The Wild Flower Bar & Dining, as well as a purpose–built function space, hosting weddings and corporate events weekly. 


The in-house restaurant & event catering is headed by Culinary Director Sean Connolly, who has previously won The Good Food Guide Chef of the Year and has numerous restaurants in Australia and New Zealand. The food is Mediterranean in style with everything made from scratch on site, from our own bread, pastries, jams and a significant amount of produce grown in our two kitchen gardens. 


The Conservatory and Library accommodate large group functions, weddings and corporate events of up to 220 guests. The 10 acres of manicured grounds & gardens also provide additional space for other functions.


The business has built up an exceptional reputation over the past 14 years as a provider of fine food & beverage, exceptional service and wonderful facilities. In this role you will promote, sell and manage all event bookings & sales, including weddings, conferences and any special event. 

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, to thrive in this role the successful applicant must have the following attributes: 

  • Experience as Event Manager/Coordinator in a similar high-volume/ high-quality multi-outlet operation 
  • Experience in Opera Cloud or other Event Management Software
  • Extensive understanding of Tourism and Hospitality, in particular food & beverage operations
  • Strong track record in sales and meeting targets
  • Amazing customer service skills and a bright & friendly demeanor to host site famililarisations and property tours
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to understand and implement company goals, dreams, and direction
  • A strong work ethic, high level of self-motivation and attention to detail to be able to work autonomously
