About the Hotel

The Hotel Windsor is an iconic Australian hotel embodying the architecture and elegance of a European style 'Grand Hotel', situated on Spring Street and located at the 'Paris' end of Melbourne. Our beautiful hotel is looking for a full time Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our Housekeeping team.

About the Role

This position is ideal for a highly skilled Assistant Housekeeper or Senior Supervisor who is ready to take the next step in their career.

The ideal candidate will be able to maintain the direction of the Housekeeping operation, having experience in leading and developing a team and will be extremely passionate about delivering a memorable guest experience through hotel and guest room presentation.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years' equivalent experience;
  • Ideal for a Housekeeping Supervisor ready to take the next step;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment;
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule;
  • Great communication and leadership skills;
  • Strong work ethic;
  • Highest standards of personal presentation;
  • Problem solving and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work over a 7 day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and ensure this role is effective.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing the allocations of Room Attendant, House Person, Public Area, Supervisors and the Uniform Room duties;
  • Managing the inspection of guest rooms and public areas to ensure standards are met and maintained;
  • Training, coaching and developing the Housekeeping Team;
  • Maintaining high standards of the hotels cleanliness and productivity;
  • Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules
  • Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance of the Housekeeping operation with all governmental regulations and other required standards for e.g. health and safety.
