As a member of our Housekeeping Team you will be responsible for undertaking all public area / housekeeping duties in an efficient and friendly manner to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction whilst contributing to effective hotel operations.

Above all you will need to be a passionate and hardworking individual, with an enthusiastic personality that will enable you connect and converse with our guests who visit us from all over the world.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping, cleaning or other similar role gained within a quality hotel environment is advantageous
  • All roles around Ayers Rock Resort are of a physical nature and require a reasonable level of fitness and physical ability to perform the role safely as outlined in departmental procedures.
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work independently as required
  • High level verbal English communication skills
  • Time management and self-organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic personality
  • Good personal presentation
  • Reliability & trustworthiness

Key responsibilities:

  • Transport linen, towels and amenities to guest rooms in preparation for their stay
  • Complete tasks allocated by the Housekeeping Coordinator & Supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness and stocking of storerooms
  • Ensure all trolleys and housekeeping equipment is clean, tidy and stored appropriately at all times
  • Ensure any lost property is recorded and correct procedure is followed
  • To uphold a professional image for the Resort at all times whilst undertaking daily duties.
  • To develop professional customer relationships and ongoing provision of excellence in customer service (internal and external)
  • To liaise with various Resort departments to achieve an organised and cohesive approach towards daily operations
  • To complete all duties in line with standard operating procedures
  • To create and maintain positive internal relations with all staff and management throughout Ayers Rock Resort to assist and support the business operations
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of goods and services provided by Ayers Rock Resort as well as the local area in order to provide accurate and relevant information to customers
  • Resolve customer complaints to the customer’s satisfaction within your level of training and authority
