About the Opportunity
We are looking for a highly dynamic and motivated Team Manager to support the day-to-day basketball operations of the JackJumpers. The Team Manager will be required to manage the best interests of the team within the broader parameters of the key strategic objectives and priorities of the JackJumpers. Communication between the athletes, coaching staff, support staff and JackJumpers operations team will be a primary component of the position. This role offers you the remarkable opportunity to be a part of our exciting organisation from the ground up and bring success to the newest team to join the NBL family.

Key Responsibilities:
  • In conjunction with the Head Coach assist in the development of a consistent leadership and culture in the Jack Jumpers team.
  • In consultation with the head coach, assist in the development and administrative requirements of all training and travel requirements.
  • Ensure all uniform, equipment and support supplies required for the Team are organised.
  • Manage all booking requirements for away game travel, including flights, hotels, meals, rental cars and recovery, as well as game day and practice requirements, to ensure effortless travel for the team.
  • Provide real time feedback to coaching staff regarding behavior and mood assessments of players.
  • Other duties, tasks or projects as directed by the Head Coach.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Be proactive in their approach to dealing with partners and contractors.
  • Be adaptable, with a “can do” attitude and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to ensure a premium brand experience.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a multi-tasking environment, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible with the ability to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Familiarity of working within sporting entertainment (desirable).
  • Interest in basketball and understanding of terminology (desirable).
  • Has a current driver’s license.
  • Has a current medium rigid driver’s licence (or willing to obtain one)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tasmanian working with vulnerable people check.
