What we are looking for

As our Group Sales Executive for Corporate and Leisure, your main goal will be to sell The Star Entertainment Group’s hospitality areas to drive business from the Corporate, Business Events and hotel markets, to improve occupancy through multiple channels including our Event Centre and various accommodation options.

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:

  • Assist the Group Sales Manager in the development and implementation of a business plan and new sales strategies with the intent to secure appropriate business within The Star Entertainment Group
  • Focus on sourcing new corporate accounts and Business Events/hotel opportunities growing revenue via Sales, for both segments based on reaching and exceeding budget
  • Assist the Head of Commercial Hospitality in the overall strategic direction and business plan outlining your core objective for each market and develop a sales action plan to ensure you meet your identified KPI’s
  • Understand the organizations that can provide business for The Star Group their motivators and influencers and grow their business, ensure introductions across all key accounts
  • Drive initiatives to build new and repeat business
  • Always maintain a customer focus, ensuring that customer service delivery is timely, effective, and efficient and that it meets both the customer’s (internal and external) needs and corporate standards
  • Promote The Star facilities and build positive relationships to generate additional usage from key markets into the business through telemarketing and direct selling
  • Represent The Star Entertainment Group at trade shows, functions/events and sales presentations ensuring that maximum exposure within the market is achieved to promote The Star Entertainment Group product

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality, Hotels or Business fields
  • Strong organizational skills to cope with a fast paced and forever changing environment
  • Extensive experience within the events, corporate, wholesale and incentive and/or travel and leisure markets within a high-volume organization
  • Extensive experience in selling principles and objectives and sales targeting
  • Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skill
  • Business Development in all hospitality market segments, specifically Corporate and Business Events
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills- experience using Delphi and Opera or similar sales and catering systems is helpful
