Flour Shop opened in Turramurra in February 2020 as a bakery dedicated to producing high quality sourdough bread and indulgent pastries. Our ethos is to use the best quality local and seasonal ingredients and make all products sold within the business in-house.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Planning and execution of the day to day production
  • Measurement and mixing of ingredients
  • Development of new designs and pastry recipes
  • Take responsibility for receipt and safe storage of deliveries, checking that good are correct and of good quality and noting / resolving any discrepancies
  • Regulation of cooking temperatures
  • Setting time cycles for products
  • Ensure all Health and Safety legislation and guidelines are implemented adhered and reviewed regularly in respect of production, employees, kitchen, machinery, equipment and hygiene 
  • Keeping the kitchen organized
  • To provide support on other sections in the kitchen / shop as and when required
  • Any other reasonable duties required to fulfil the need of the business
  • Required solid experience (minimum 1 year full time) baking bread, laminating, rolling and proving pastries.
