Primary Duties:

  • Co-ordination of all aspects of the departments operation to ensure that the services of the Department are delivered to guests or internal customers with the aim of exceeding guest expectations and in accordance with Sheraton’s standards and procedures.
  • Analyse and respond to guest feedback, guest satisfaction and associate satisfaction information; and give a positive commitment to continuous improvement of product and performance.
  • Responsible for the day to day management of associate working in the Department.
  • Responsible for training all new Stewards according to “brand standards”.
  • Manage the Stewards in all areas of their work, and maintain a high level of productivity and safety.
  • Responsible for ensuring that there is adequate cleaning equipment available at all times. I.e. Brooms, mops, detergents, etc.
  • Prepare all outlets for service and remain on standby until service is complete.
  • Ensure all outlet tasks are carried out as per schedule and requirements.
  • Manage a deep clean program in the Kitchen.
  • Communicate with the Banquet Chef and Banquet Manager as to their requirements for daily functions. Ie. Equipment, timing, mise en place.
  • Order, receive and store chemicals. Monitor and control usage to minimise wastage.
  • Manage the ordering, receiving, storing and issuing of operating equipment to Food & Beverage Outlets.
  • Educational Qualifications
    • High school certificate or equivalent qualification
    • Completion of an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or three years relevant experience.Professional Experience:
    • 3 years in a similar role.
    • Experience in an international standard 4 or 5 star Hotel (desirable)Certificates:
    • First Aid Certificate
    • Safe Food Handling Certificate
  • Salary range $40,000 - $60,000
