About the role

An opportunity exists for an Environmental Services Worker to join our team at Kolan Gardens Aged Care Service in the delivery of services to our 115 residents. You will be a hands-on individual looking for diversity in a role.

Your role will be varied but centred on activities such as:
Contributing to a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and staff to improve the quality of life for residents;
Assisting with the preparation of meals and maintenance of the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;
Help with serving of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys and trays;
Laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing.

Within this role, you must be willing to work variety of shifts including AM, PM and weekend shifts.

About you

You are an enthusiastic reliable worker who enjoys being a team player and yet can work autonomously. You have compassion for the elderly and are passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs.

Ideally you will have:
Experience in working in kitchens, laundries or cleaning roles, preferably within the Aged Care industry;
Experience in operating equipment associated with commercial kitchens, cleaning and laundries;
Willingness to work a variety of shifts, across a 7-day week, with availability at short notice;
Ability to obtain a National Police Check;
Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker screening check.

Please note, all employees working within our residential and community aged care will need to be immunised for Influenza from 01/05/2020. If you have already received your flu vaccination, we ask that you provide proof as part of the recruitment process
