JOB DESCRIPTION

The Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood is currently looking to fill two positions. A Housekeeping Supervisor and Room Attendant roles.

The successful applicants will demonstrate a can-do, responsible and flexible approach to work, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for customer service, a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, strong team building skills and a strong appreciation of workplace safety.

Ideally the candidate will have past experience in a similar role.

Housekeeping Supervisor role:

About the role

  • Co-ordinate/roster all staff requirements on a daily basis ensuring effective and sufficient staffing is provided
  • Complete daily room allocation, room inspections, daily briefings and provide effective communication to all team members
  • Manage, encourage and develop all employees to ensure they consistently achieve the highest room standards
  • Supervise the Housekeeping team and ensure the design and implementation of effective systems and operational procedures including daily checklists are actioned
  • To ensure that quality procedures are followed and quality standards are maintained
  • Inspecting all assigned areas to ensure hotel standards and cleanliness quality standards are met and maintained
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with Front Office and all other areas of the hotel
  • Ensure efficient use of linen and conduct regular stocktake
  • Proactively report any hazards, faulty or damaged equipment, guest incidents or complaints to the Front Office Team
  • Lead and collaborate with the team to maximize guest satisfaction, comfort and cleanliness, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.
  • Assist, where required, in deep/spring cleaning
  • Assist with public areas cleaning when require

Housekeeping / room attendant role

  • Preparing and cleaning rooms to the highest quality and efficiency.
  • Ensuring the security and privacy of guests, demonstrating your integrity and diligence at all times.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and proactively report of any hazards, faulty or damaged equipment to senior staff.
  • Providing efficient, friendly and professional service to all guests
  • Ensuring security of keys and guest rooms at all times
  • Willingness to be available for additional duties as required.
  • Adherence to workplace health and safety policies and procedures
