About the Role

Housekeeping Supervisor

Together with and reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department and the cost effective and efficient cleaning of the rooms and common areas.

This role is focused on the drive to deliver a 5 star hospitality experience to the collegiate environment.

The position is a head of department role. The responsibilities will be numerous encompassing all day to day cleaning of rooms, management of consumables and manpower for the requirements of the college, along with working to budget targets and setting in place Standards of Procedure documentation.

About You

You will have a positively charged character and are a person who is in alignment with the SCC mission, vision and values. You will have a situational management style, strong and centered personality, be team orientated, flexible, proactive, optimistic, a good communicator and have a commitment to high quality work and efficient staff.

Selection Criteria

  • Recent and significant experience in a similar role in either hospitality or student accommodation.
  • Proven administrative and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and managing competing tasks
  • Must be competent to work autonomously and have sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Must be creative, innovative and be outcome focused
  • Must be computer literate and have a sound understanding of administrative processes.
  • Experience in a collegiate environment and/or education is not a necessity but is an advantage.
  • Must have an eye for detail and hold a high bar for quality and aesthetics of works performed.

Requirements

  • Availability and willingness to work outside standard hours as reasonably required
  • Working with Children Blue Card (or capacity to obtain one)
  • Current and satisfactory National Criminal History Records Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain or update)
