Bar Supervisor

A visit to Butcher and The Farmer is a celebration of great food, drink and friends. Each element of the space, from the coal pits to the plate ware, combines to create a unique and exciting dining experience.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Bar Supervisor to become part of our professional and hard-working team. Successful applicants will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service with a positive, upbeat and professional personality.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and monitor your team on a day to day basis
  • Daily procedures for opening & closing the bar are adhered to
  • Continually maintain high production, productivity and customer-service standards
  • Following & ensuring company policies & procedures are implemented. What we are looking for:
  • At least 5 + years' supervisory experience in a similar role within the hospitality/restaurant industry
  • Solid experience in wine knowledge, pairing and upselling techniques
  • Experience in training and mentoring a team
  • Great leadership qualities along with the ability to inspire, train and develop the team
  • Exceptional communication skills with employees, customers and clients.
  • Ability to drive a service excellence with a keen eye for detail
  • Knowledge of operations within a restaurant environment
  • Qualification in hospitality would be an advantage for this role

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Providing exceptional table & bar service in a fast paced environment
  • Have a thorough understanding of the food & beverage menu
  • Previous A La Carte experience within a bar/restaurant environment
  • Daily bar operations including coffee making & cocktail production
  • Cocktail Creativity
  • Controlling beverage stock levels
  • A current valid RSA
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Impeccable presentation, hygiene and grooming standards
  • A willingness to undergo further training and development
  • Flexible availability over a 7-day rotating roster

You will report to the Restaurant Manager and be responsible for maintaining a high service standard while observing our company culture and values. You will also receive on the job training within each department and further training in management to ensure complete knowledge of the restaurant operations.
