Nepean Private Hospital is looking to employ a Food Services Assistants to join their busy department on a casual basis. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.

As a Food Services Assistant your responsibilities will be to:
  • Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
  • Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
  • Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards

Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

Selection Criteria
  • Food Handler Certificate or Certificate III in Hospitality
  • Previous cooking experience desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Work both independently and within a team
  • Skills and motivation to ensure excellence in customer service
  • Act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with clients, their families and colleagues
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Maintain safety standards and adhere to guidelines, policies and procedure

Previous experience in a Healthcare environment would be a distinct advantage.

Successful applicants are required to provide evidence of a satisfactory Criminal History Record Check (within last 12 months), a Working with Children Check and immunisation assessment prior to commencement.
