About Essence Apartments and Suites

Essence Apartments and Suites are furnished apartments and suites designed to be a home and office away from home to our guests. Located in Chermside and Taringa in Brisbane and Carlton, Melbourne, we cater to Medi Stays and the corporate and leisure industries. Essence Apartments and Suites is a UniLodge Australia Pty Ltd company.

About your new role

We are on the lookout for a Front Office Receptionist to join the team at Essence Apartments and Suites. These roles will be shared between 2 properties located at Essence Apartments Chermside and Essence Suites Taringa as required.

This is a full-time position that will work over a Monday to Sunday rotating roster with morning, afternoon and evening shifts, including Public Holidays.

Day to day duties

Operate the day-to-day front desk reception area in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
Coordinate conferencing and event requirements such as bookings, catering, set up/break down and signage.
Assist all guests in the most efficient and professional manner, exceeding expectations and delivering a high standard of customer service.
Promote Essence as a leader in accommodation and conferencing and ensure you deliver on what is promised.
Provide administration support as required.
Be the leader in knowledge of all things that are on offer in the local area and surrounds.

What you will need to succeed:
Experience with coordination and delivery of conferences and events is essential.
Previous customer service experience in the accommodation or hospitality industry is highly regarded.
Valid QLD Driving Licence and access to own car would be beneficial.
Have exceptional customer service experience and place high regard to attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Energetic and vibrant nature when dealing with guests with the ability to be empathetic when required.
Experience with Hirum Property Management System and/or other similar systems will be highly regarded.
Willing to go above and beyond for all those you encounter to effectively contribute to the overall success of hotel.
Ability to provide evidence of a National Police Check.
