JOB DESCRIPTION
Hungry Jack's is seeking a Barista Trainer to deliver training programs for all new and existing Jack’s Cafe restaurants and to drive a coffee culture within the Hungry Jack’s brand across the Central Coast, Northern Rivers, and Newcastle Regions. This position is currently for a 6 month contract period.
Key Responsibilities for this position:
- Providing business advice and direction to Restaurant Managers and Crew Team members to improve management practices and achieve budgeted sales growth in coffee
- Meet with Restaurant Managers and District Managers to develop action plans required to improve coffee kilos
- Ensure the Restaurant Manager and Crew are using all approved training tools for all staff and support the restaurants in delivering training where required
- Establish and maintain a relationship with Restaurant Managers and Crew, Training Coaches and Operations to provide ongoing training support
- Assist the brand new/refurb restaurant openings and the restaurant changeover process specifically relating to building the knowledge and skills of the District Manager, Restaurant Manager, and Crew.
- Assist with coordination of all cross-functional elements to ensure the setup of Jack’s Cafe is complete.
- Ensure that all restaurant visits or correspondence has a definable benefit to the restaurant/ Restaurant Manager/brand and is documented appropriately.
- Constantly review the training & learning and development performance of restaurants within your territory, on an operational, and compliance level
- Provide coffee education to District Managers, MRM, Restaurant Managers, and Crew in all aspects of producing quality coffee to help build sales.
- Monitoring weekly coffee growth by stock control and wastage each week, by the restaurant.
Our ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications;
- Working towards completion of Certificate 4 in Training & Assessment
- Extensive coffee industry experience
- Small business/franchising experience
- At least 2 years experience in a restaurant/customer service setting
- Ability to achieve multiple goals/objectives simultaneously
- Ability to remain calm and collected in high-stress situations
