The Sheraton Mirage Resort & Spa Gold Coast is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wedding Manager with strong organisational skills, exceptional communications skills and impeccable personal presentation.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Event Management, you will be responsible for selling and execution of the Resortâs venues for weddings and social events. This combined with qualifying enquiries, drawing up proposals, negotiating, contracting, communicating the requirements of the event, coordinating the event and then following up to ensure payment is processed and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: conducting site inspections, communicating all client requests to the operational teams within the hotel effectively, quoting and contracting clients, ensure forecast spreadsheets and catering system are keep up to date, maximisation of catering space via room rental and upselling food and beverage selections, generate Banquet Event Orders for all events ensuring they are detailed and accurate, maintain an active presence on the floor during your events. Available to work a Tuesday to Saturday Roster and flexible to work Sundayâs and Public Holidays when required.


We are looking for a proven performer in a fast paced, high volume and challenging role. Strong organisational skills, Food and Beverage operational experience, creative flair and high attention to detail are essential. Sound knowledge of CI/TY catering & sales system or similar, Outlook and Microsoft office software will be beneficial. To be successful in this challenging and rewarding role you will have previous experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5 star hotel/resort.
