SeaLink Queensland operates from Townsville delivers 18 daily services to Magnetic Island, 5 services a week to Palm Island, and conducts local tours to Cape Cleveland Lighthouse, Orpheus Island, Palm Island, Whale Watching Tours and ship to shore transfers for visiting cruise ships between Airlie Beach and Port Douglas.
Who are we looking for?
- Experienced Vessel Master up to 35m
- Strong Leadership Skills
- Able to perform under pressure
- Self-motivated
- Proven Track record of Excellent Customer Service
- Fast Ferry Experience
- Knowledge of safety and maritime obligations
- MED 2 qualification or higher is valued but not compulsory
- Strong Work ethic

About the role
The Vessel Master leads and manages safely and efficiently the daily operation of the vessel and its crew, ensuring the delivery of high standard passenger services. Clear communication, physical fitness and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines is paramount in this role.
