Objective:
To undertake all porter / front office duties in an efficient and friendly manner to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction whilst contributing to effective hotel operations.
To contribute to the strategic goals and objectives of Ayers Rock Resort with responsibility to support, develop and retain Indigenous employees and trainees to achieve Indigenous employment targets.

The successful applicant will have:
Previous experience in a porter/concierge or guest facing role within a 4 or 5 star environment preferred
Current Light Rigid (LR) Licence or the ability to obtain on arrival
Confident in driving a manual vehicle
All roles around Ayers Rock Resort are of a physical nature and require a reasonable level of fitness and physical ability to perform the role safely as outlined in departmental procedures.
Ability to work well in a team
Ability to work independently as required
High level verbal English communication skills
Time management and self-organisational skills
Self-motivated and enthusiastic personality
Good personal presentation
Reliability & trustworthiness

Key responsibilities:
Be an ambassador of the resort ensuring all guests feel welcome on arrival
Coordinate our guests’ luggage across some of our key hotels at Ayers Rock Resort
Ensure that departing guests’ luggage is collected in time for their departure and transferred from reception to one of many airport coaches throughout the day
Look after arriving guests, liaising with reception in terms of room allocations and delivering bags to guests in their rooms shortly after arrival
Assist with guests’ enquiries
To uphold a professional image for the Resort at all times whilst undertaking daily duties.
To develop professional customer relationships and ongoing provision of excellence in customer service (internal and external)
To liaise with various Resort departments to achieve an organised and cohesive approach towards daily operations
To complete all duties in line with standard operating procedures
To create and maintain positive internal relations with all staff and management throughout Ayers Rock Resort to assist and support the business operations
Maintain up to date knowledge of goods and services provided by Ayers Rock Resort as well as the local area in order to provide accurate and relevant information to customers
Resolve customer complaints to the customer’s satisfaction within your level of training and authority
