About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced Cleaner & Laundry Assistant to join the team at our Ferny Grove home. This role will assist the home in maintaining the highest possible standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the residence with a strong focus on minimising health risks and maximising safety.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure the home is clean to high standards
• Always interact with the residents in friendly, helpful and positive manner
• Ensure all laundry requirements are met each shift
  

Skills & Experience

• Clear communication skills both written and verbally
• Previous experience working with and using cleaning equipment
• Solid knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals
• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, health care or Aged Care environment (Preferred)
• Previous experience in a laundry capacity/commercial laundry
  

Mandatory requirements for all candidates

• Valid National Police Check (Full disclosure or standard disclosure)
• Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
• Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered (VIC & QLD currently exempt)*
