POSITION DETAILS

We at Agnew IRM are seeking two (2) qualified and experienced Cooks to work full-time at a popular licensed restaurant at Brisbane’s South Bank Parklands operated by our client.

We are looking for candidates who are available to work days/nights and weekends and who can work effectively within a team to produce high quality dishes in a timely fashion.

POSITION DUTIES

We are looking for candidates who possesses the skills to perform the following duties:

• Receiving and storing perishable kitchen supplies and non-perishable kitchen supplies and equipment.
• Responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes that meet special dietary requirements – including gluten free, vegan and low calorie meals – as required.
• Demonstrating an impeccable work ethic, enthusiasm, honesty and integrity.
• Assist in stock monitoring / controls & wastage.
• Responsible for the correct usage, cleanliness and maintenance of all food service equipment.
• Ensuring that venue policies, procedures and standards in relation to food quality, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and customer service are strictly adhered to.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for candidates who possesses the following qualifications; experience; and qualities:

• Relevant AQF Certificate III qualification essential
• Minimum 5 years of employment experience in busy commercial kitchens essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Ability to manage time and work under pressure

POSITION SALARY

$54,000 to $57,100 per annum + super
