The Hospital:

Royal Darwin Hospital is a Level 5 Hospital providing obstetric care to women from the Top End of the Northern Territory and Northern Western Australia. RDH has approximately 2000 deliveries per year, of whom 30% are Indigenous. Many of these are high acuity. Maternity care is provided collaboratively in a number of models including Midwifery Group Practice, midwifery led care and medical led care.

The role:

Provide a specialist Obstetric and Gynaecology service to include the care of both inpatient and ambulatory patients, within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of Royal Darwin Hospital, regional hospitals and remote communities; contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education at Royal Darwin Hospital, including vocational training and supervision.
