We are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on Duty Manager to assist in the day to day running of iStay Precinct, an Oaks Hotels & Resorts property. If you are an enthusiastic individual looking for the next challenge in your leadership career, we have the position for you!

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Assist in the development and training of Guest Service Agents;
  • Ensure that all daily tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Conducting guest arrivals and departures;
  • Daily inspections of rooms, public areas and facilities for cleanliness and maintenance;
  • Confidently providing personalised, attentive guest service, including pre-empting the guest's requirements;
  • Imparting your knowledge and recommendations about the hotel, its facilities and the local area including restaurants and attractions;
  • Ensuring guest queries and complaints are handled efficiently and effectively;
  • Maintaining accurate guest accounts, adhering to strict confidentiality policies and procedures;
  • Managing the Reservations system in order to maximise bookings, availabilities and revenue streams;
  • Finalizing guest accounts, including cash handling;
  • Reconciling daily finances (pursuant to Trust regulations) and reporting statistical and financial information;
  • Assisting in general administration duties in the Front Office department and general duties across the Housekeeping & Maintenance departments as required; and
  • Managing all group accounts including bill settlement and commission reconciliation.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Minimum 4 years front office/reception experience, including at a supervisory level;
  • A commitment and passion for delivering exceptional, pro-active customer service;
  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster;
  • Strong computer skills/knowledge
  • Experience in delivering hotel operations within Strata Titled buildings
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks;
  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A high standard of personal presentation.
  • Previous experience using CMS will be highly regarded
  • Fluency in multiple languages will be highly regarded
