JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative new food businesses in Sydney. With recent investment and an exciting national growth strategy underway we are now looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee and support the day to day running of our HQ located on Sydney's Northern Beaches. 

Your role will be to manage and provide support to a team of staff, overseeing the smooth and effective running of the business. We're looking for someone who can both see the big picture and at the same time dig deep into the nitty gritty details. The ultimate goal of this role is to keep our operations running smoothly whilst capturing and improving our evolving processes and systems.

We are searching for a natural leader with fantastic interpersonal skills, a can-do attitude and an aptitude for using multiple tech platforms. Ideally you may have worked in a tech enabled startup or ecommerce business in the past and had some exposure to process design.


What you will be doing:

  • Oversee weekly operational activity
  • Manage team of staff and contractors including setting KPI's, reporting and training
  • Manage, improve and implement the Food Safety Program
  • Troubleshoot/provide support as needed including helping in warehouse, ordering supplies, problem solving and customer service
  • Work with the Warehouse Manager to manage inventory through Inventory System
  • Placing FoodSt orders with suppliers on a weekly basis and managing stock levels
  • Work with Community Managers to setup new cooks and dishes across inventory and Shopify systems
  • Updating and managing Shopify products and pages
  • Continuous process improvement and mapping

What you will have:

  • 2+ years experience managing people and processes
  • Fantastic interpersonal and leadership skills
  • A love of food, culture and people
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple platforms eg Inventory Systems, CRM, Project Management and others
  • Experience working in an ecommerce or tech enabled business
  • An eye for detail

Extra skills that would be awesome but not essential

  • Some experience in process design and mapping
  • Some experience with inventory management
