Do you enjoy working in a hands-on environment? To be in the running for our next IKEA Food Co-worker, we need you to have:

  • A passion for working with food and enriching the customer experience
  • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently
  • An energetic approach as this department can become extremely busy
  • Strong customer focus, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A safe mindset, and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive heavy lifting
  • Previous experience in a fasted paced kitchen environment is highly regarded
  • As our store trades 7 days a week, you have the ability to work a mix of shifts (7am – 10pm), as well as 3 out of 4 weekends a month

This is a temporary (up to 1 year) part time (30 hours per fortnight) opportunity to join the food team at IKEA Rhodes!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Preparing, presenting and serving the highest quality food to both our customers and co-workers
  • Ensuring your assigned area is always clean, tidy and presentable
  • Complying with strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks
  • Operating the cash register for purchases
  • Supporting other areas of IKEA Food where needed to ensure annual goals and targets are achieved

TOGETHER AS A TEAM

A key role of the food team is to prepare and serve food, including our world famous meatballs and hotdogs, to both our customers and co-workers. Together we strive to deliver a prime food experience for the customer during their shopping journey and ensure our shoppers and their stomachs are truly satisfied.
