The Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide, a 220 room hotel in the heart of the city, is currently seeking a confident and experienced leader to drive the finance team at the hotel.
Reporting to the Hotel General Manager and the Area Financial Controller, you will take a strategic leadership role as the Financial Controller of this hotel which include the following responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and prepare the month end management and financial accounts
- Annual Budgeting and periodic forecasting
- Implementation and effective management of risk controls
- Responsibility for ATO statutory reporting
- Direct supervision of 2 staff members
- Provide coaching and functional guidance to the department heads
- Provide reporting to company directors and interact when questions arise
- Interact with hotel’s accountants, auditors and banks to effectively control the assets of the business
To be successful you will need:
- A degree in Accounting and be professionally qualified
- Demonstrated examples of using commercial acumen and initiatives to improve business performance
- Proven experience in managing and motivating a team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively build relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Experience as a Hotel Accountant or Assistant Financial Controller
