The Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide, a 220 room hotel in the heart of the city, is currently seeking a confident and experienced leader to drive the finance team at the hotel.

Reporting to the Hotel General Manager and the Area Financial Controller, you will take a strategic leadership role as the Financial Controller of this hotel which include the following responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and prepare the month end management and financial accounts
• Annual Budgeting and periodic forecasting
• Implementation and effective management of risk controls
• Responsibility for ATO statutory reporting
• Direct supervision of 2 staff members
• Provide coaching and functional guidance to the department heads
• Provide reporting to company directors and interact when questions arise
• Interact with hotel’s accountants, auditors and banks to effectively control the assets of the business

To be successful you will need:

• A degree in Accounting and be professionally qualified
• Demonstrated examples of using commercial acumen and initiatives to improve business performance
• Proven experience in managing and motivating a team
• Excellent communication skills to effectively build relationships with external and internal stakeholders
• Experience as a Hotel Accountant or Assistant Financial Controller
