We are seeking a passionate individual with proven experience within a similar role to come on board as Head Barista of Sloane Ranger Cafe. In Cremorne, 2 minute walk from Richmond Station, serving Dukes Coffee. Our location means our customer base is predominately corporate. We thrive off of providing efficient, friendly and professional service to our regulars and new customers alike.

The role will include:

• Ordering and stock control of all coffee related items
• Quality control; maintaining a consistently high standard
• Opening or closing the cafe including end of day reconciliation and reporting
• Training other baristas; refining their skills to ensure consistent, high quality coffee
• Working alone or with others on the machine

The right candidate will be/have:

• Conscientious, efficient with a strong work ethic
• Team player; willing to help out when needed either behind the bar or on the floor 
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Personable and confident behind the machine
• Willing to build a strong rapport with our largely repeat customer base
• Able to uphold high standards during busy periods
• Be willing to train new staff to maintain consistency

• Linea PB, 2x Mythos, 1x EK, 1x Moccamaster

Hours

Currently trading Monday-Friday only, looking to reopen on Saturdays soon.

Immediate start available if desired, our current Head Barista is moving on at the end of February as they are starting their own hospitality venture. Ideally would have time for the right candidate to work alongside our current Head Barista to allow sufficient hand over of the role and responsibilities.
