Duties include being responsible for the entire running of cafe, working with other team members (including Head Chef, Sous Chef etc) in the performance of duties as set out below:
 Ensure professional level of customer service is delivered by all café staffs
 Modify menu, purchase goods and services according to budget
 Coordinate all kinds of activities, such as functions
 Writing of rosters and shift planning
 Work along side and supervise all team members of a lower level
 On call for any emergencies and any unexpected store or staffing requirements
 Accurately record sales and banking
 Recruits, inducts, trains & exits efficient and friendly employees
 Control COG’s expenditures through the development and use of effective par levels
 Control COE expenditures through effective rostering and running of shifts
 Maintain stock control through recording & monitoring wastage, accurate monthly stocktakes, effective ordering/receiving and storage procedures
 Negotiate with suppliers in conjunction with the Corporate Office to gain the highest quality products at the best prices possible
 Training and ongoing development of all team members
 Enforce daily and weekly systems and procedures to ensure a high level of presentation, hygiene, service, product quality and security
 Effectively discipline and praise staff as required
 Perform administrative duties in conjunction with the Franchisee (i.e. collecting invoices, recording of food safety requirements)
 Ensure all menu items are available throughout the entire trading day
 Ensure the cleanliness of the store is in alignment with Food Safety
 Ensure all ISP’s are displayed and staff are informed
Person Specification
Qualifications (current and to be maintained by employee)
 First Aid Certificate
 Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
 Responsible Management of a Licensed Venue Certificate
 Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
 Leadership & Management Certificate/Diploma (preferred but not essential)
Knowledge
 High level of literacy and numeracy
 Demonstrated knowledge of The Coffee Club policies and procedures as outlined in The Coffee Club Team Handbook and all manuals
 Detailed and up to date knowledge of preparation and presentation of all menu items including both food and beverage in accordance with the Good Food Manual and the Excellent Coffee Manual
 Detailed knowledge of all store operations
 Detailed knowledge of The Coffee Club mission statement and core values
 Knowledge of workplace health & safety regulations and relevant industrial relation regulations

Skills
 To be able to read and understand an income and expenditure report and cash flow analysis
 To be able to establish clear lines of communication with staff, Franchisee/s, corporate office and suppliers
 To be able to train staff to communicate well with all guests and in doing so build a relationship with them that links them to the store
 To be able to promote sales through effective marketing, retail merchandising and selling procedures in conjunction with the Franchisee and in line with The Coffee Club’s marketing manual and policies.

Salary: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
