This opportunity:

Our residential facility, located in Murray Bridge is currently seeking Housekeeping Services Assistants to join their team. If you are looking for a long-term career opportunity that is flexible and rewarding, then this is the role for you!

A little more about the role:

  • Maintaining adequate standards of hygiene and tidiness in accordance with contemporary housekeeping practices across all areas of the role
  • Cleaning of floors, cold rooms, store rooms and other areas of the kitchen facility
  • Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and drinks
  • Complying with the site Food Safe Program
  • Sort soiled personal clothing and prepare for washing
  • Folding and ironing clean laundry and returning to residents
  • Correctly operate commercial and domestic washing and drying equipment
  • Prepare and maintain resident dining areas
  • Maintain adequate stocks of food and chemicals in the servery
  • Assist with the collection of residents’ food and beverage selections

About you:

  • You have an empathetic nature and are committed to supporting the needs of older people
  • You have experience in housekeeping services and safe food handling practices in a service organisation
  • You are able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Able to prioritise workloads, demonstrate flexibility and achieve outcomes within specified time frames
