Staff Solutions Australia is the Japanese owned leading provider of HR /Recruitment Solutions looking for a Customer Service - Freight/Logistics for our client that is located in the North of Melbourne. 

Our client is a leading freight forwarding/logistics company in the North suburbs. Due to continued growth they are seeking a Customer Service to join their team.

Working in a friendly and collaborative team environment, which a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with customers and internal departments to ensure all customer expectations are met
  • Inwards receipt of all goods within defined timeframes
  • Ensuring picking, packing, dispatch, inbound and warehouse procedures are being followed
  • Handle inquiries from new and existing clinets by phone and email 
  • Reporting on damaged goods within the warehouse
  • Providing support and guidance to new warehouse floor employees
  • General administrative support as required
  • Price negotiation with the suppliers
  • Preparstion of quote 

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic individual with great customer service skills and experience within the transport and logistics industry.

Other requirements include:

  • A professional, positive and reliable approach to work
  • Candidate with 1-2 years of freight forwarding/3PL experience 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accurate data entry skills and a good level of computer literacy
  • Familiar with Cargowise system is a bonus
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work from Monday to Friday (8:30am-5pm)
