Reporting directly to the Porter’s Supervisor and supporting the Front Office team, you will: Be an ambassador of the resort ensuring all guests feel welcome on arrival Coordinate our guests’ luggage across some of our key hotels at Ayers Rock Resort Ensure that departing guests’ luggage is collected in time for their departure and transferred from reception to one of many airport coaches throughout the day Look after arriving guests, liaising with reception in terms of room allocations and delivering bags to guests in their rooms shortly after arrival Assist with guests’ enquiries To be a successful candidate you will:

  • Be a fit, active and hardworking individual
  • Be friendly and possess good communication skills to provide information and a welcoming introduction for guests
  • Have very neat and tidy personal presentation
  • Hold a current Full Manual Driving Licence and be comfortable in the operation of a manual vehicle as you will frequently be required to drive company vehicles (Provisional licence is not permitted!)
  • Ideally have prior experience as either a Hotel Porter or other in a similar guest facing role gained within a 4 or 5 star hotel environment.
Other reception experience combined with a background within the hospitality industry is highly advantageous but not essential, as is prior experience of working on a remotely operated resort. Prior experience living in a remote area would be an advantage but not essential. A National Police Check is a mandatory step of the recruitment process.
