About the facility

We are currently seeking an Assistant Facility Manager to join our team at Dandenong North.

Situated in a quiet residential area surrounded by courtyard gardens, Regis Dandenong North is a 171 bed facility that provides a relaxing working environment. This facility specialises in secure dementia care and support with a focus of meeting the needs of high care residents. The facility also has sensory enriched lifestyle programs to enhance resident’s daily well-being.

Duties & Responsibilities

This is an opportunity for someone who has a sound background in management and is looking to start their career within the Aged Care space or further develop their knowledge and skills in Aged Care while being supported and mentored by an experienced Facility Manager.

This role creates the perfect stepping stone for someone who is looking to break into a rapidly growing industry. Your commitment and dedication will be imperative, as will a demonstrated pride in service excellence, to enable success in this role.

The role will have full oversight of the Catering, Laundry, Maintenance and Administration areas of the facility. Other responsibilities include people management, performance management, and workforce planning. Interacting with the residents and their families and working closely with the leadership team and frontline staff to support and drive a positive, friendly, helpful and effective culture. Last but not the least, the role will also involve supporting the sales and marketing of the facility and ensuring compliance with all WHS processes.

About you

This position would be suited to someone who is eager to learn, dynamic in personality and is ideally tertiary qualified in business, health or a hospitality related discipline.

Ideally you will be experienced within a multi-faceted, service based environment although this may come from a variety of industries. A natural leader and motivator, your communication skills will be exemplary.
