Property & Facilities The Property & Facilities Division (P&F) is responsible for delivering comprehensive facilities operations to the University community by using integrated systems and services to support the University's teaching and learning, research endeavours and strategic objectives. To achieve this, and to further improve the environment in which members of the University community study, work and live, P&F provide a range of services of Campus Operations, Infrastructure and Sustainability, Planning and Property and Project Delivery. Campus Operations is responsible for operations in the areas of Grounds, Maintenance, Security, Fire Services, Transport Systems, Cleaning, the Gatton Printery, Fleet Services, Furniture, Mail, Store, Asset Performance and Services and Compliance. Further information about the Property and Facilities Division may be accessed on the Division's web site at About This Opportunity We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Fitter or Electrical Mechanic to join the Client Facilities team based across our remote sites portfolio. This is a varied and hands on trade based role, taking on preventative and corrective maintenance services across the range of facilities in campus. This is a diverse role, covering a broad range of task from ad hoc maintenance such as putting up whiteboards and repairing light fittings to minor project works. You'll be the point of contact for clients and to coordinate the end to end delivery of maintenance services and for implementing maintenance projects and initiatives. The Remote Sites portfolio is a diverse range of UQ property predominantly located in Brisbane and the Greater Brisbane area. This position is primarily located at our Herston or PACE sites but will work across all remote sites including PA Hospital, PACE, Heron Island, Stradbroke Island, Indooroopilly and Pinjarra Hills. Our Ideal Candidate You should have knowledge and technical experience in the provision of building maintenance services, combined with sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical or plumbing services in large, complex building portfolios (including technical, scientific or laboratory facilities). It is essential that applicants have the following:

  • Australian Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence
  • Current QLD Drivers Licence

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $77,400 - $83,267 per annum plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17%.The total FTE package will be in the range $90,558 - $97,422 per annum.
